PARACHUTE BATTALION WINS MALAWI DEFENCE FORCE SPORTS FESTIVAL

NICO Life Insurance Company Limited has promised to increase sponsorship for Malawi Defence Force Force (MDF) annual sports festival. NICO Life General Manager, Stain Singo, said that sponsorship amount will increase from K 2 million to K2.5 million next year in order to accommodate the introduction of other sports disciplines.

It was a wonderful weekend for golfers at Lilongwe Golf Club when NICO Life Insurance organised a tournament that saw Texon Banda and Mike Lwanda emerging winners. Their runners-up in this stableford multiplier were Clement Chilingulo and Thakor Mahindra while J. Lim and O.H. Chou came third.

NICO LIFE SPLASHES NETBALL PRIZES

Chauka Sisters netball team, on June 10, 2008 went away with K30,000 after emerging first in the Mzuzu District NICO Life Insurance trophy. Chauka, who are also Northern Region netball defending champions amassed 15 points in all five games played. Rivals, Kato and Moyale Sisters came second and third after netting 12 and 9 points, respectively to earn themselves cash prizes of K20,000 and K15,000, respectively.

Mr. Benford Chakhumata Banda joined the services of Life and Pensions Division of the National Insurance Company Limited on 11th February 1974. He retired from the services of NICO Life Insurance Company on 30th September 2007 after working for the Company for over 33 years. NICO Life Insurance Company was until 31 December 2001, a Life and Pensions Division of the National Insurance Company which was incorporated as a composite Insurance Company in 1970.
