JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT SYSTEMS AND SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Assistant Systems and Security Administrator tenable in the IT Department of NICO Life Insurance Company in Blantyre.

Reporting to the Systems and Security Administrator, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following among other responsibilities:

1. Contribute effectively in the design, implementation and support of communications Infrastructure (LAN's/WAN's/VPN's)
2. Troubteshoot, repair and maintenance of computer related hardware infrastructure and operating platform
3. Carry out preventive maintenance schedules
4. Team member in the development, design and implementation of software systems engineering projects
5. Do daily backups for all business systems data
6. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Ability to priotise tasks at hand
2. Excellent analytical skills
3. Selt starter who works with minimum supervision
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
5. Ability to meet deadlines and targets
6. Team player.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Have at least an Advanced Diploma in any ICT related field with bias towards software systems
engineering from an accredited institution

At least three years working experience in a highly computerised environment.
